In our LUG we had a vivid debate over your wish
that we should promote proper naming of GNU/Linux.
The general conclusion is the following:
We shall try and actively promote the idea of GNU/linux during
your visit. We will hounor the idea in the documents
we publish on our web site, however we don't have sufficient
resources nor activists to do this kind of promotion on regular
basis. To put it simple: we cannot tell our members how they should
address their beloved OS.
However because LUGOS head comite still feels obligated to
promote the idea of free and open software we think it
would be appropriate to issue a public statment of
support to the GNU project and FSF fundation in the
newsletter that we send to all our members...
We hope that by doing that we will raise the awarness
of GNU/Linux users in Slovenia.
We are afraid we can not offer much more, because of
our non-hierarhic organisation structure.
So, the question is wheather this proposal would
suffice for you to accept our LUG as a sponsor of
your visit to Slovenia (and Croatia).
