SSKJ postavlja gesla, ki se začenjajo na črke W, X in Y (v tem zaporedju) med V in Z, Q pa med P in R, torej tako kot v angleški abecedi (definicija črke q je v SSKJ: "črka latinice, ki stoji v slovenski abecedi med p in r").
