Bueno, por si alguno se quedó con la intriga... Leí esto de la pag de LTSP: For Etherboot to load a kernel, the kernel must be combined with first32 and the initrd and stored in a single file. This processes is referred to as tagging the kernel and produces a layout shown in Figure 1. This is done with mknbi-linux, available on the Etherboot web site. +--------------+ | first32 | +--------------+ | | | | | Linux Kernel | | | | | +--------------+ | | | | | initrd | | | | | +--------------+ Así que el NIC que agregué fue en el initramfs que bootea con PXE, por eso de esa forma anduvo y no con el diskette. Lo que hice fue entonces bajar el programa ese, pegar con el mknbi un kernel con el initramfs modificado por mi con: mknbi-linux [--output=outputfile] kernelimage [ramdisk] y meterlo donde estaba el otro...
