I'm very new to cluster files systems and I was just tasked to load Lustre. I just installed the rpm files in order according to section 1.2 Using a "Prepackaged Lustre Release", however some things seem to be missing. I'm trying to do a quick configuration on a single linux workstation running Fedora Core and kernel-2.6.14-1.1637_FC4, kernel-2.6.15-1.1830.FC4, kernel-smp-2.6.14-1.1637_FC4 and kernel-smp-2.6.15-1.1830_FC4. I had to force it to load the Lustre kernel and kernel-smp SW, as the preexisting kernel files were newer. After rebooting the workstation, I checked in /usr/lib/lustre, but the only file in that directory is /usr/lib/lustre/python. The examples are no where to be found.
