Hi, everyone,
It seems like there's been quite a lot of progress with Lustre fixes and
improvements in the last few months; some of these have made it into
Lustre 1.4 releases, while others are specific to the Lustre 1_5 branch.
However, it's been a while since the last 1.6beta, and it seems that
1.5.95 is getting a bit stale...
Are there any plans to get a new beta out soon? There's a lot of nifty
patches in the Bugzilla database that would see much broader testing if
they were integrated into a new release, and a new release might
eliminate some of the problems that people report with 1.5.95, not
realizing that patches are already available. Performance improvements,
NFS export fixes, MGS failover, 2.6.18 Kernel support, patchless
improvements, numerous miscellaneous fixes and improvements... it's a very
impressive list (you guys have been busy!).
Alternatively, could anyone give a list of their "favorite" patches that
seem to be significant improvements over the released 1.5.95? In
particular, how are the various NFS reexport fixes and the 2.6.18 patches
working for you? Have you tried the MGS failover patch? Anything else
you'd recommend?
Thanks,
