The size of the cache is per client, and cannot be set by a regular user.
The amount of write cache is per OST - /proc/fs/lustre/osc/*/max_dirty_mb,
and the total amount of cahced data (read or write) is per filesystem -
/proc/fs/lustre/llite/*/max_cached_mb.
