Dear Andreas,
Since i have a client that it's using 1.4 and i can't upgrade it to
1.6 so i decided to install 1.4 server and upgraded to 1.6 so the 1.4
client can mount it, as you mentioned before here what i got while
trying to upgrade to 1.6 version
I verified the 1.4 installation i used (1.4.91) and mounted 1.4 using
client 1.4 and 1.6 everything was fine now duing the upgrade this is
what i got.
any idea,
Thanks and best regards

I am trying to mount lustre 1.6.1 using 1.4.x client, l am unable to

it possible to mount lustre server 1.6.1 using client version 1.4.X,
if yes how?
This is only possible if the filesystem was originally formatted with
Lustre 1.4, so that you can upgrade the 1.4 servers to 1.6 before the
clients. For systems that were installed initially with 1.6 this is
not possible.
