Hi,
If you still get an error message have a look into syslog of MDS
OSS's and client you use to turn quota on and maybe there you will
find some relevant information.

I cannot activate quota on lustre...!
when I run the command
setquota -u marquezl 307200 309200 10000 11000 /home
The system return the following error.
"setquota failed: No such process"
1.- My kernel has support for quota (CONFIG_QUOTA and
CONFIG_QUOTACTL)
2.- The module lquota is loaded
3.- I executed "lfs quotaon -uf /mnt/lustre"
4.- I run lustre 1.6.0.1 on kernel 2.6.18.8
quotaon is a misnomer -- you really want to run 'lfs quotacheck -ug
$MNT'
