Use 'lfs getstripe <file>', i.e.
root# lfs getstripe /mnt/lustre/testfile1
OBDS:
0: lustre-OST0000_UUID ACTIVE
1: lustre-OST0001_UUID ACTIVE
/mnt/lustre/testfile1
obdidx objid objid group
0 315726 0x4d14e 0
root#
This tells me that 'testfile1' is stored entirely on OST0.
