This looks like a problem with transparent huge pages & page migration. Have you tried to disable that? # cat /sys/kernel/mm/redhat_transparent_hugepage/enabled [always] never # echo never > /sys/kernel/mm/redhat_transparent_hugepage/enabled Lustre also does not handle page migration properly, that's why we fail all page migration attempt for now (see LU-130).
