You can use obdfilter-survey to profile performance of an OST similar to the way Lustre would be reading and writing to the OST in production. You cannot run benchmark programs like iozone or fio on an OST. You could mount an OST device as an ext4 filesystem and benchmark that but it would not operate like Lustre does so the benchmark would be somewhat pointless.
