Oh sorry Andrew - upon further investigation we decided it was advisable to wait for 2.12 to offer up the newer kernel support. It will not be in 2.10.6.

A number of patches that contribute towards 4.14 support were included in 2.10.5 but there are still a couple that did not land in time (and still need some work by the look of things - https://review.whamcloud.com/#/c/31928/2 ) and so should be in a later release.
