Hi Riccardo-

Did you install the mlnx-ofa_kernel-devel package? I’m also curious why to
build the client you are attempting to rebuild the DKMS SRPM, when I would
think the way to get a client built would be to install the DKMS “binary” RPM,
or to rebuild the regular Lustre SRPM.

Zadeva: [lustre-discuss] problem building lustre 2.12.9

Hello,

I Am trying to bulid lustre client 2.12.9 on RHEL8

rpmbuild --rebuild --without servers
/root/rpmbuild/SRPMS/lustre-client-dkms-2.12.9-1.el8.src.rpm

configure: error:
You seem to have an OFED installed but have not installed it's devel package.
If you still want to build Lustre for your OFED I/B stack, you need to install
its devel headers RPM.
Instead, if you want to build Lustre for your kernel's built-in I/B stack
rather than your installed OFED stack, either remove the OFED package(s) or use
--with-o2ib=no.

I am using Mellanox OFED.

Any hints on how could I get it fixed ?
thank you

Riccardo
