Hi, RHEL 8.7 came out recently. I have thus compiled from the source rpms (2.12.9) of RHEL 8.6 an rpm for the latest 8.7 kernel which is at the time of writing: 4.18.0-425.3.1.el8.x86_64 #1 SMP Fri Sep 30 11:45:06 EDT 2022
It seems to compile with no problems and I can load the module on that kernel: filename: /lib/modules/4.18.0-425.3.1.el8.x86_64/extra/lustre-client/fs/lustre.ko license: GPL version: 2.12.9 description: Lustre Client File System author: OpenSFS, Inc. <http://www.lustre.org/> rhelversion: 8.7 srcversion: 66DC328B9F6C22F46AB46AA depends: obdclass, ptlrpc, libcfs, lnet, lmv, mdc, lov name: lustre vermagic: 4.18.0-425.3.1.el8.x86_64 SMP mod_unload modversions Also able to mount Lustre. I will test the following days its stability and performance, but my question is this: As 2.12.9 is supported for 8.6, do we wait for something like 2.12.10 (?) to be on the safe (stability wise) side or do we keep working with our rpms?
