When the version 2.15.2 Lustre server is compiled and installed on a device,
and then the rpm package of Lustre client is installed, the conflict error
between the client and the server is displayed, as follows:
“file /usr/lib/debug/sbin/mount.lustre-2.15.2-1.el8.x86_64.debug from install
of lustre-client-debuginfo-2.15.2-1.el8.x86_64 conflicts with file from package
lustre-debuginfo-2.15.2-1.el8.x86_64
file /sbin/mount.lustre from install of lustre-client-2.15.2-1.el8.x86_64
conflicts with file from package lustre-2.15.2-1.el8.x86_64”
Does this mean that the 2.15.2 version of Lustre client and server cannot be
installed on the same device at the same time?
If the "-- replace" or "-- force" option is used when installing the client rpm
package, will it affect the installed server software?
In short, what is the way to make the client and server installed on the same
machine to avoid such conflict and error reporting?
