Hi Shaun
Unfortunately we discovered that our patched master build has some
issues with our 2.15 servers.
Seems that we can only read files using direct mode AND block sizes >=
4k, or else the read fails:
~# dd if=/mnt/ubuntu-25.04-desktop-amd64.iso2 of=/dev/zero status=progress
dd: error reading '/mnt/ubuntu-25.04-desktop-amd64.iso2': Invalid argument

Revert this patch: https://review.whamcloud.com/c/fs/lustre-release/+/57961
Or try this patch: https://review.whamcloud.com/c/fs/lustre-release/+/60246
which is ugly but does work.
The issue occurs also building the same master source without patch on a
compatible OS (Rocky Linux), so it seems that it's not a problem related
with the patch or Debian 13.
perhaps the issue has something to do with https://urldefense.com/v3/

Hi all
I'm trying to build lustre client DKMS .deb packages for Debian 13
The ./configure is:
./configure --with-o2ib=no --disable-server --disable-doc --disable-
manpages --disable-tests --disable-lutf --disable-ldiskfs --disable-
quilt --disable-maintainer-mode
* lustre-release source is an up-to-date master
* kernel version is 6.12.27-amd64
* swig version is 4.3.0-1
But "make dkms-debs" dies with the error below.
Fixes available here:

Hi Shaun
Many thank for the fixes, I confirm that both LUTF and SWIG issues are
gone and DKMS client packages work well on Debian 13.
cheers,
Francesco
