That's what I keep trying to tell them. The young woman I've been chatting with is insistent that because she's a guitarist she hasn't the skills to play lute and that a lute is too expensive. I've granted that a lute will be more expensive than a lutar, but I tell her that "too expensive" is subjective. I also point out that I was a guitarist before I took up the lute and that the transition is negligible. Craig
