Problems with changes in humidity can partly controlled by oiling the gut strings. I was wondering about what is used for oil. I bought a long time ago some string oil from Kuerschner but basically one could use any type of natural oil I presume. Has anybody experience with olive oil or something else? Is there any historic information on this (perhaps Mace??) ?
