Dear Stewart,

I didn't mean to misrepresent you in any way. I was recalling a post wherein Jon
called you Stu and you let him know in no uncertain terms that you didn't find that
appropriate, preferring Stewart (or the more familiar McCoy as was revealed in another
set of posts). My apologies if I misread you having taken offense at such an affront.
You have always, to me at least, seemed the soul of reason, and that was one occasion
where it appeared as though you'd been pushed over the line. But you're right, and I
have always maintained, that the Internet is a wonderful medium for passing
information, but a terrible medium for communication.

As for giving the benefit of the doubt, I have done so by ignoring his posts for so
long, maddening though they can be. I can assure you that I'm not the only one to
share this opinion. I won't go on. If my post to Jon lessens me in your eyes so be it,
and I'm sorry for that. I have over the years been in a position to teach on a variety
of subjects, but I have always found that the one in the class who thinks he knows it
all is going to remain unteachable.

Best regards,
Craig
