Dear e-friends,
I have just posted the lied #70. For this round figure I decided to do
something really unusual, so I picked one of my most treasured
appropriations, an aria "Maria und Martha ber dem Lazarusgrabe" from Johann
Christoph Friedrich Bach's oratorio "Auferweckung Lazarus" to a text by
Herder, which is one of my favorite pieces of music in general.
The aria is sang by alto-Maria with interpolations in recitative by
mezzo-Martha, so I gave all the recitatives to baroque lute, slightly
embellished, while keeping the aria strophe (repeated 3 times) intact.
The final product is up a tone from the original f-minor, but the range is
not wide, and I do not expect problems of that sort.
The PDF file is 800kb, FYI.
