the second piece of "really useful information" for today comes from a
charango booklet written by the great ernesto cavour and concerns
strings for musical instruments and the equivalent dia. of the much
cheaper, nylon leader used for fishing.
tuning is arranged from high to low:
charango: guitar (high "e"):
first - e = leader no. 0.40mm fret 12
second - a = leader no. 0.60mm fret 5
third - E = leader no. 0.80mm open
(octave) e = leader no. 0.40mm fret 12
fourth - c = leader no. 0.50mm fret 8
fifth - g = leader no. 0.70mm fret 3
hope this proves useful too.
sincerely - bill
