From: Robert Eklund <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

In 1991 I wrote a Master's Degree paper on a most fascinating lute
manuscript
preserved at Uppsala University. It is for a 13-course lute and contains two
suites in the bizarre keys D sharp minor and G sharp major, as well as an
intabulation of an Affettuoso by Fortunato Chelleri (Keller).

The suites are of great technical complexity, and the music is outstanding.
(Douglas Alton Smith first believed it was an hitherto unknown Weiss MS, but
later changed his mind.)

With the modern electronic age I've now turned the paper into PDFs, and you
are allowed to distribute the following links to your mailing list. I think
that the more lutenists who become aware of this music, the better.
Hopefully
someone will eventually learn the pieces and even record them.

Feel free to distribute both the links and my email address/URL. If you have
any questions, do not hesitate to ask them. Also, if you should chose to
distribute the following, make it clear to the recipients that they are all
more than welcome to contact me if they have any inquiries.

Yours,

Robert
