LACG may indeed be "just a distributor" but I found them (Billy Arcila)
very helpful. Billy mentioned that he had a friend with a Mac whom he
could ask for advice if there were unexpected problems, which there were
not. The information he supplied was consistent with Leonard Williams'.

I bought the CD and read it under MAC OS X and I can add a little to what
has already been said. There are directories on the CD with JPEG images
and they are organized in directories, one directory for each vihuela
book. Furthermore, there are text files that contain the names of the
pieces with the names of the corresponding JPEG files. The only minor
problem I have is that a lot of the pieces have names that contain special
characters, which makes it difficult to do the kind of searches I like to
do because I do not know the Spanish spelling nor, as of yet, the escape
sequences that correspond to those characters. I'm sure it will be
trivial to convert these text files to a format that is more friendly for
barbarians like me.

The bottom line is that I'm perfectly happy, but that probably has a
something to do with the fact that I'm a old-hack, command-line dinosaur
who abhors point-and-click. Nor do I care for pretty windows with sexy
backgrounds, because I like to let my computer do the searching rather
than my eyes.

I care not for these Windows
That must be woode and praide,
   Give me kind command lines
   and raw text interface.

Peter.
