From "The Other" Stephen Stubbs, Champaign, IL USA

Daniel Larson's: Gamut Musical Strings www.gamutstrings.com

His treble gut comes in three different diameters for a particular
course: light, medium, and heavy tensions

I use a heavy tension on the g-1 string, then light tension on the other
courses. I'm also tuning with A=415 Hertz. (Renaissance 6 course lute)
For my 60cm string length lute, I can cut his g-1 string in 1/2 and get 2
strings for the price of one. Price $3.08 US per string, in diameters
.40mm, .42mm. and .44mm. $7.95US shipping and handling to US addresses.

Usually I get a month or two out of the .44mm heavy tension string before
breaking. With the .40mm light tension string, I was getting around two
weeks. Keep in mind I am a total novice and don't play on a regular basis.

Stephen.
