A Mac program is certainly needed. I've noticed a high proportion of 
Mac users among lute professionals and amateurs. Do you think it 
would be possible to work with Alain Veylit or Francesco Tribioli and 
port some of the hard work they've already done for PC to the Mac? I 
know nothing about programming so maybe it's a stupid question.

As I recall, Miles Demster has written a tab program with beautiful 
output for the Mac but chooses not to release it to the general 
public, due to all the hassles involved with that, but he does 
contract work.
