not sure I got you. Well, there is Toyohiko Satoh's method for the baroque lute, available from TREE edition. If memory serves, he does not quote sources. The other one that comes to mind is Stefan Lundgren's Lute Companion. http://www.luteonline.de/ It is not a method in the strict sense, but pieces are disposed by increasing technical demand. It contains quite a few quoted sources (Gaultier, Gallot Reusner, Le Sage de Richee, Mouton) with their respective translations in English.
