Dear lutenists,

yesterday I was listening a classical radio channel in my car radio, and
I heard something very interesting: a baroque opera sung in German! The
style was - let us say - something "middle baroque" 1680-1710?
Normally you would expect that style in German being sacred.

In the intermission they said the name on the composer and the opera,
but I could not hear that clearly. The composer was something like
Reinhardt Eise and the opera told about Kroisos.

Very nice recitatives, choirs, and even battle music with drums. The
style was VERY Italian.

And the performance was good! Someone played theorbo well in recitatives
and also "in concert". :-)

So does anyone here know anything about that music? Google did not help.

All the best,

Arto
