That sounds like an interesting project/nightmare. Were you making an edition for lyra viol or for lute? What jumped into my mind is how interesting it would be to see what the lyra viol did with it, i.e. realized the figures. The only other realization I know of is Robert Dowland's which I always ask in my mind 'is this anything like the way Caccini would have done it?'. If it is very different, which I suppose it is, that would make an interesting comparison.
