Dear Mathias, I think your initial question was correct. I only have a demo version of Fronimo, but I have not found a way of tranforming a tab staff into a notation staff. As Alain said, this can be done automatically in Django, and probably in the other notation based programs mentioned in earlier posts, however (un)satisfactory the results. Francesco will probably be able to help you on either the current or the next version of Fronimo.
