Stephan, There are also the many decorated vocal lines decorated by dalla Cassa, Bassano, Bovicelli, Rogniono and others, mostly for viol but acceptable on other melody instruments. These date from the late 1500's to the early 1600's. Very good modern editions are published by London Pro Musica Editions.
