>From reading this seemingly endless (but highly entertaining) thread, three things are abundantly clear:
1} Alain Veylit would make a fine psychologist. I'm not sure if he is accurately stating Matanya's views regarding the relationship of the lute to the guitar, but MO's aversion to tablature is well known. 2) Arthur Ness is, indeed, capable of defending himself. His defence of Charles Jacobs was well put and necessary. And I had many disagreements with Jacobs, another scholar with an aversion to tablature. 3) Roman Turovsky is more guilty than Matanya when it comes to flaming. If he is allowed to stay, Ophee should be reinstated. I would rather have them both. I appreciate the wit.
