There is, although not 100% sure, a barqoue lute tutor by Toyohikoh Satoh, 
published by Tree Edition.
There is much more easy renaissance music to get started in good readable 
editions. Much of the baroque lute music is in manuscript form and not easy 
and 13 courses is quite a lot to start with. And there are several nice 
editions of Bach (also on internet) which can be played on renaissance lute 
and Weiss perhaps too.
