Last week I left you all with my g'-string woes and a 0.40mm Kathedrale on
my archlute that had seriously started fraying in the second movement of the
Bach cantata. I'm happy to say I could reuse the string (it was still long
enough) and it has performed flawlessly in three more Trauerodes and a live
radio performance this weekend. Perhaps it may even last me the concerts in
the coming week.

Does anybody have experience with using Barocco top strings on their lutes?
(Bowed) string players tell me they are wonderfull, and non
rectified/polished/ground! So a stronger string, but sometimes false. Very 
authentic, in other words. ;-)
