There is also another, less known book of intabulated frottole by Cara and
Tromboncino, published sometime in the 1520's, but I can't cite more from
the top of my head. Maybe someone else here has more exact information.
Should be listed in Brown's 'Instrumental Music Printed Before 1600', too.

Cara was a prominent musical personality at the court of Isabella d'Este in
Mantova. A large selection of his frottole was published by William Prizer
in his 'Courtly pastimes: The Frottole of Marchetto Cara' (Ann Arbor, 1980).
Prizer's article 'Lutenists at the court of Mantua...' in JLSA XIII (1980)
is a complimentary reading.
