   Dear Lutenists:

I am writing to tell you about plans for new upgrades to the
[1]www.tympanilanerecords.com Web site and about a new poetry offering
called "The War of the Roses: Ariel, the night by fire."
The poem is an epic interpretation of the civil war of England, 1455 - 1489,
inspired by the Muse, it tells the story of the major players in the
battles, Henry VI (Lancaster) who was considered to be unfit to be King and
the York insurgents, Richard, Duke of York, Edward IV and Richard III. The
civil war decimated the elite and ended with the installment of Henry VII
(Lancaster) marrying Elizabeth of York and the twining of the white and the
red rose, the emblems of the two Royal Houses. It is 17 verses long and will
be a challenge to write music for.

I am also expecting my first Lute, it is a 6c. Renaissance Bass Lute
with Baroque carvings and I am planning to record some original Folk Music
with it. The upcoming recordings will be "Prayers for the Poets" - Folk
Music based on works of poetry by Classic Poets and "Songs From Troy", an
historical masterwork based on the tragic story of the Battle of Troy and
the love affair of Eleyne and Paris with a retelling of the events
psychically intuited through the voice of Eleyne.

Amongst plans for the Web site include an offering of a Free Song
Download. And as I await the arrival of the Lute, I am currently planning
to get back in the Studio to record Dance Summer Blue, an acoustic folk/rock
CD that hints of Summer on the wind. Also, plans include playing down in
Yorkville this Summer on Cumberland Ave. on Saturday afternoons, unless I
escape to the South of France or warmer climes,

   with love,

   Rebecca
