Dear all,
in a vain attempt to get some vacation, I brought my 6-course along to this lovely country house, Hald, near Viborg. What I didn't know until yesterday was, that there is an old tower in the grounds from 1528. Beautiful, original acoustics. The tourists like it. But, this being a holiday, I haven't brought my Pohlmann or any other reference books, so what should I play, besides Francesco, Neusidler, Judenkuenig and Attaignant? The builder of the tower, which was meant to be a prison, was Joergen Friis of Viborg, one of the last and most stubborn bishops. His jester foretold, that Joergen himself would be the first prisoner, and this came to pass: In 1536 the door slammed behind him. So, people, some suggestions for some really captivating pieces, please! "Holiday" greetings, Arne.
