Why should anyone ?

The fun thing about HIP is that is not so restricting as it's critics expect.
Nice having those people back then developing an enviroment that allows a
great deal of personal freedom with great practibility.

In this respect I have an extreme taste I enjoy playing authentic instruments
or I would probably end up rolling in the Marshall stacks and going way
beyond cross-over. I like instruments that have a personality and a good
renaissance lute is a classic instrument like a Les Paul or Strat, but I find a
single
strung archlute is like one of those electric guitars that can produce any
sound, but they all lack the class of a real instrument. It is often the limits
of
an instrument that are it's most endearing quality, if the lute is too quiet
for you then start playing the trombone !

All the best
Mark
