They both should flee away for the shame! It's all incredibly bad. His voice is amazingly out of place in this repertoire and often slightly out of tune. He makes huge use of portamento, something that even Carreras would blame in this music. The lute sounds badly and sometimes doesn't go together with the voice, and what about the rock like improvisation of the lute at the end of the first stanza of Can she excuse?
