Kidding about what, to do the search in kana? No, I didn't expect
people to read the Japanese. I pasted in the kana so you could see
that thousands of hits come up. If you have Japanese ability built
into your computer it should search and show up correctly. The point
I was trying to make was that this guy is the best lutenist living in
Japan (IMHO) and is not well known outside of Japan. Well, I can't
compare him with Toyohiko Satoh, as the only thing I have by Satoh to
judge him by is an album that is about 30 years old. Anyway, is Satoh
living permanently in Japan now? BTW, I think Imamura is incredible,
judging by his DeVise theorbo CD, and underrated, but he doesn't live
in Japan and he was already on the list.

There is an English version of that URL I discovered after I posted
the message. http://www.linkclub.or.jp/~dowland/Eng/english.html
I can't read Japanese very well either, so I might have made a
mistake counting the CDs (or the Japanese page is different -I only
glanced at it), but on the English page there were 13 CDs.
cheers,
