Reminds me of the time I was listening to a live radio broadcast of the
great jazz violinist, Joe Venuti, playing at a club in San Francisco. At one
point he said, "You've been such a great audience, we're going to do
something we never do: we're going to take a request. What would you like to
hear?" From the back of the room a woman called out, "Play 'Feelings'."
Venuti said, "'Feelings'?!!...'Feelings'?!! That's the worst goddam tune
ever written. You had your chance." And he played "All the Things You Are".
