Arne:

Are you asking someone to violate copyright for you?

The Lute Society of America does not at this point publish directly to
the web. As far as I am aware, no other lute or vihuela society does
either. The various lute societies around the world do publish in print
for the benefit of their members and the benefit of the authors who
contribute articles to the publications, but that process consumes
resources, labor and materials, at least some of which cost money. That
cost is the reason that these societies all charge membership fees (note
that the no-fee Internet Lute Society is now defunct).

The article about which you are inquiring was published in volume 30 of
the Journal of the Lute Society of America, and that back issue is
available from Anne Burns, as are all the other back issues.

I am endeavoring to put up onto the LSA web site some of the really old
material from the LSA quarterly publications particularly, as I am able
to get permission from the authors to do so. However, that permission is
very often extemely difficult to obtain. When I do get a response from
the author, at best it usually is "I will take a look at it and get back
to you;" then nothing more.

What is there is here:

Daniel Heiman
