But if I could this existing back...back on, I could get on fiddling with other things like the bridge and the nut and the frets and get something to actually play. (Though I've got plenty of other, 'proper', instruments I could be playing). I can imagine gluing the back on - but it would have to be clamped tightly to hold the sticky-out edges down.
