Hello, friends,
this is a message from a clarinet player I received today.

Stolen Clarinets

On the 10th of March, 2007 my set of three classical clarinets was
stolen in the Thalys train from Paris to Koln at the Bruxelles-Midi
station. Here follows a description of the instruments. If anybody
happens to know something about them please contact me at one of the
following numbers or my address in France:

The instruments were in a black Samsonite backpack so the person who
stole them couldn't know that there were instruments inside. They do not
look like normal clarinets (black with silver keywork) : they are copies
of eighteenth century instruments made of brown boxwood with brass keys
and ivory rings at the joints. There are no makers names on them. They
sit in the case each one in five separate pieces. The set includes:

- one C Clarinet, light brown in colour,5 brass keys, 1 double hole,
horn rings
made by Agnes Gueroult in Paris

- one Bb Clarinet, brown, 7 brass keys, ivory rings
made by Daniel Bangham in Cambridge

- one A Clarinet , Brown, 5 brass keys,ivory rings
made by Marco Ceccolini in Rome

It would be great if this announcement could circulate amongst fellow
musicians, music shops, instrument makers and dealers. Thank-you to
everybody for your attention and cooperation,
Yours sincerely,
Daniele Latini
