And I don't know about anyone else, but when I'm commuting in the truest sense of the word it's usually rush hour and I'm trying to get to my train to get to work. I have no time to listen to some busker in the hall on the way to my train, and they're not standing on my side of the turnstile so buskers in the DC Metro don't really have a captive audience of people waiting for a train. Even if it's not rush hour I still have places to go, and in the words of Danny Kaye I want to "get in, got on with it, and get out". I agree with David, journalistic twaddle.
