I couldn't find any depictions of torbans in the museum. The only instruments I saw there were actual ones, not painted: a clarinet, a flute and a mandolin. Presumably he owned them. But there were sketches of his paintings that are in the Basilica of St Mary's and one of them is a cosba-like instrument. Nothing like a torban though. http://www.15thcenturyplucked.com/ > The must-see is the Wawel palace, with carved heads in the ceilings. > http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wawel > Other notables: > http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stanislaw_Wyspianski > http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matejko > RT > > > ----- Original Message ----- From: "Stuart Walsh" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: <[email protected]> > Sent: Monday, April 02, 2007 4:54 PM > Subject: [LUTE] Krakow > > >> Anyone know of any interesting museums, music shops etc (anything to do >> with old plucked things) in Krakow?
