Yes, indeed, Arto and Chris your supposition was a good 
one. I checked the Christian Meyer catalogue.  By the 
way, his web site is back up now.  That's an important 
place for all of us.

Saizenay: "Chaconne.des Harlequins mise par Mr. de 
Visee" (pages 340-1).

Paris 1106: "chaconne des harlequins [de Visee]" (folio 
138)

Paris 6265, "chacone d'arlequin [de Visee]" (f. 53)

All are from Lully's Bourgeois Gentilhomme.

To this we can add Tom Berghan's arrangement played on 
his web site (last item of MP3's).  Tom [plays for an 
early dance group and that's probably where he 
encountered Lully's piece.

I'm a bit busy now.  But I'll explain the request for 
information later.

I suppose the Visèe version is an arrangemant of Lully's 
"Chaconne des
Scaramouches, Trivelins et Arlequins".
