OK, I'll get things off and running...

WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Bush has chosen Lt. Gen. Douglas Lute,
the Pentagon's director of operations, to oversee the fighting in
Iraq and Afghanistan as a ''war czar'' after a long search for new
leadership, administration officials said Tuesday.

In the newly created position, Lute would serve as an assistant to
the president and deputy national security adviser, and would also
maintain his military status and rank as a three-star general,
according to a Pentagon official.

Does this mean Bush has switched from "Stay the course" to "13 course"?

Does this make the leader of the insurgency the "archlute"?

I assume he is authentically strung - no gut, no glory

Is Iraq too Ba-roque for a Lute to do any good?

Is the general walking into a labyrinth? If so, I suggest ear plugs.

Will the Green Zone now be called the "figured base"?

Will all vehicles now be protected with Kingham armor?

There will be a new threat from IED's: Improvised Extemporaneous Dowland

Joint Chiefs of Staff to be renamed Joint Chiefs of Tablature

Stinger rockets to be replaced by Sting CD's

Between troop movements will he have to retune the bases?

When Cheney speaks to the troops again, will it be a mean-tone?

Carry on...
