re: lord danby at the sibley library
sorry if that link didn't work for anyone. i didn't realize the page it
linked to would time-out.

if you'd still like to see the bibliographic record go here
http://sibley.lib.rochester.edu/cgi-bin/Pwebrecon.cgi?DB=local&PAGE=First

then put "lord and danby and lute" in the 'search for' field and choose
boolean in the 'search by' field.
that search should take you straight to the page.

there is a link for purchasing a microfilm copy but unfortunately it goes
straight to a order form with no pricing info, etc. i'm trying to poke
around and see if i can find how much it costs.
---------------
okay, just looked around. apparently the interlibrary loan dept handles
microfilm requests
here is the page
http://www.esm.rochester.edu/sibley/?page=illiad
contact info at the bottom:

i can't seem to find a static list of the lute holdings but if you go to
that first link and search "lute music" with "subject heading" in in the
'search by' field. it will also bring up recordings but you can refine the
results to get scores and/or manuscripts only.

hope that helps. cheers
