Dear Bob, One of the earliest lessons I took from electronic forums also has aplicatino to life - ya cant always assume the worst of people. On a forum, you dont get that additional input of body language, and you pretty much always make some typo that passes your pre-send review (if there was any). if some posting seems directly designed to hurt, I try to figure out what one word could have been mis-spealt or left out. Invariably that is the issue, its rare that people actually intend to hurt.
In your case, I wonder, is your lute case similar to others? Have you added stickers, you initials, something to make it stand out in a check room? Someone, or perhaps a third party may have fetched the strings in question in error, yes, even swapping the partial set.
