Dear Rainer and Stewart, thanks for your input. Any objections against naming the author Dowland? I too made a transcription (for two lutes) and wonder what to write above... I see that Ward _does_ mention the Füllsack and Hildebrandt version. However, he seems not to be too fond of the piece in general, calling it "more a product of scissors and paste than of composition". Although this might be right for the LoST version, the F and H setting appears to be reworked quite thoroughly.
